Dad is doing well. Dad moved out of ICU on Wednesday and in o what is called Cardiac Step down unit. In cardiac step down they monitor the patience here as they would in ICU.
We had one small scare so far. On Wednesday night when mom and I were visiting dad his resting heart rate was up around 120 bpm and would not decrease. The nurses gave him on an heart arrhythmia drug by mouth. Over the next 30 minutes his resting heart rate still did not slow down. At this point the nurse begin to give him medicine by IV to slow his heart rate. The IV medications were successful.
The doctors told dad that he would by in the hospital for another 2-3 days. Dad cannot wait to get home.
Each day dad continues to look better and better.
